Greece’s summer sales have kicked off all around the country this week and will continue through to Thursday, August 31, allowing tourists to pick up some great bargains on their holidays.
Store owners are hoping turnover will be higher than last year due to the larger number of tourists in the country, with over 30 million visitors expected to arrive in Greece this year.
Stores expect the great sales, which include 70% off certain items, will give tourists more incentive to buy.
Shops may also optionally open on Sunday’s allowing tourists and locals an extra day to pick up items on a day where they are normally closed.
