The coronavirus crisis has swiftly cleared everyone’s schedules for the next few months.

Many brides and grooms who planned their weddings months or years in advance, have had to postponed their wedding indefinitely.

However, not every bride-to-be wanted to wait any longer to say “I do” and changed their ‘dream’ wedding to adhere to the coronavirus measures. On Wednesday, five couples got married at the City of Athens Town Hall, without their parents or friends present.

The Town Hall holds civil weddings twice a week, every Wednesday and Saturday.

Athena and Robert (pictured above) were one of the couples who adhered to the coronavirus measures and got married in front of two witnesses.

Outside the Athens Town Hall, Robert waited for Athena, holding the bouquet and wearing the ‘necessary’ disposable gloves. They then went inside to exchange vows before walking down the stairs as husband and wife.
