
Greece was drawn into Group A of Eurobasket 2017 along with France, Slovenia, Finland, Iceland, and Poland. Finland will be the host nation of Group A.
Greece’s Eurobasket 2017 campaign will begin in Finland along with France, Slovenia, Iceland, Poland, and the host nation Finland. The six teams will battle it out in Group A for a place in the knockout stages which will be held in Turkey. Each team will play the other once and the top 4 nations after 5 games will advance to the Round of 16. For today’s draw, Greece was seeded in pot 2 and will be a heavy favorite to advance to the next round while the top seed, France, will be considered the favorite to win the group.
The group stages consist of 24-teams separated into four groups of six teams. In the first knockout round (16 teams), Group A will play with a team from Group B, which consists of Ukraine, Israel, Lithuania, Georgia, Italy, and Germany.
Greece will tip-off on August 31st against Iceland. The full schedule is below…
