One of the most popular festivals in Greece is that of Naousa, which focuses on the custom of the Nizamikos – a Greek dance of Naousa for men. The Nizamikos danced every year at the carnival of Naousa is called “Janissaries and Boules” (Γενίτσαροι και Μπούλες).
